Medication Management Policy

$67.00 AUD
Sale price  $67.00 AUD Regular price

The policy framework every NDIS provider supporting participants with medication needs on file.

A tight, single-document policy framework setting out how your service supports participants with medication: principles, the role of the pharmacy-supplied MAR, PRN expectations, worker training requirements, storage and handling, and reporting of errors and adverse reactions.

This is a policy framework only. It does NOT include a MAR template (your pharmacy supplies one per participant per cycle), a PRN protocol form (your prescriber writes and signs those), or a worker competency assessment (training is tracked in your Training Register).

Medication management is regulated by state and territory law. Have this reviewed by a registered nurse or pharmacist before adoption.

FAQs

Q. Why isn't this a 'pack' anymore?
A. Because the other parts — the MAR, the PRN protocol, the worker competency assessment — don't belong as templates from us. The MAR comes from the pharmacy. The PRN protocol is signed by the prescriber. Worker training sits in your Training Register. Bundling them up was confusing the framework with the practice.

Q. Where do I get the MAR?
A. Your participant's pharmacy supplies a MAR per medication cycle. The policy refers to it; we don't supply one.

Q. What about medication errors?
A. Separate product — see KS-09 Medication Error & Incident Form.

Q. Should I have this clinically reviewed?
A. Recommended — a registered nurse or pharmacist review before adoption.

Q. Does this cover Schedule 8?
A. The Policy references S8 storage and the need for state-specific safeguards. Include in clinical review.

Q. Editable?
A. Yes, Word .docx.

Q. Affiliated with NDIS Commission?
A. No. Independent. Not clinical advice.
