Lone Worker Safety Plan
Check-in protocols and emergency procedures for workers delivering supports alone.
Most NDIS supports are delivered by one worker, alone, in someone's home. Lone working isn't inherently dangerous, but it does mean a worker doesn't have a colleague to back them up if something goes wrong.
This plan covers check-in protocols (risk-based — different frequencies for different risk levels), emergency procedures, safety equipment, training requirements, the right to refuse a shift, and what to do if a worker is harmed.
