Bushfire Plan
Preparation, response and recovery for bushfire-affected settings — critical for QLD, NSW, VIC providers.
Bushfires are a serious risk in much of Australia. For providers in fire-prone regions, a bushfire plan is required by the Practice Standards as part of emergency planning. This plan covers preparation through to recovery, with specific considerations for participants who may be more vulnerable during evacuations.
Includes activation triggers, pre-season preparation checklist, daily checks on high fire-risk days, evacuation decision framework (leave early), evacuation procedure, the 'go bag' contents, and post-fire debrief.
