What format are the templates in?

Microsoft Word (.docx) files. Fully editable. They open in Word, Pages, Google Docs, or any modern word processor. Some templates come as a pack of multiple files in a single download.

How customisable are they?

Every template has bracketed prompts like [your business name] where you fill in your own details. We don't lock anything down — you can change headings, add sections, remove what doesn't apply, rebrand to your own visual identity. They're starting points, not finish lines.

Are these templates affiliated with the NDIS Commission?

No. Northform Health is an independent template publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Using our templates doesn't guarantee compliance — that's always on the provider. We write them to align with the NDIS Practice Standards as they're currently published, and we write them in plain English.

Do you offer refunds?

Digital downloads are non-refundable once accessed. This is standard for digital products and we make the policy explicit at checkout — it's a condition of purchase. If a file won't open or is corrupted, message us within 7 days and we'll send a replacement or refund. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are preserved — see our Refund Policy for the full version.

How long do I have access to the files I buy?

Forever. Once you've downloaded a file, it's yours. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, no expiry. You'll get a download link in your purchase confirmation email, and the files are accessible from your customer account if you created one at checkout.

Will the templates be updated when the NDIS rules change?

Each template is sold as-is at the time of purchase. We update templates periodically as Practice Standards and regulations change. You'll see the version number on every template. If you want to pick up an updated version, you can purchase the latest one at any time. We don't currently push automatic updates to past purchases.

Do any templates need clinical or legal review before I use them?

A few do. The Medication Management Pack should be reviewed by a registered nurse or pharmacist before adoption — we flag this clearly in the product. The Service Agreement is worth a one-off review by a commercial lawyer with NDIS experience. The Restrictive Practices Register requires you to check your state or territory's authorisation rules. All warnings are in the templates themselves — read carefully.

Can I share the templates with my team?

Yes. Each purchase is licensed for use by a single purchaser (one individual or one organisation). You're welcome to use the templates across your whole team, adapt them, save your own versions internally. The licence prohibits reselling them, distributing them outside your team, or uploading them to public repositories.

I'm a SIL provider getting ready for the 1 July 2026 mandatory registration. Where do I start?

Start with the July 2026 Compliance Bundle. It includes the Practice Standards Self-Audit (your starting diagnostic), the Mandatory Registration Prep Pack (the 5-document journey to commencing your application), and the foundation documents you'll need to have in place. Then add the SIL-specific templates (SIL Roster, Sleepover Handover, Restrictive Practices Register) as you build.

Do these templates work for providers outside Queensland?

Yes — the templates are written to be nationally applicable in line with the NDIS Practice Standards. A few touchpoints vary by state and territory (restrictive practices authorisation, medication regulation, working with children checks). Those touchpoints are flagged in the templates and you adapt the state-specific bits to your jurisdiction.

How do I download my files after I buy?

Two ways. First, an email is sent to you immediately after purchase with the download links. Second, if you created an account at checkout, the files are accessible any time from your customer account. 

Can I get an invoice with my ABN on it for my records?

Yes. Shopify automatically generates a tax invoice on every order. It includes our ABN and the GST amount where applicable. You can also enter your business details at checkout and they'll appear on the invoice.
