Free 1 July 2026 NDIS Readiness Checklist | Northform Health
The 5-page checklist for small NDIS providers preparing for the 1 July 2026 mandatory registration deadline.
From 1 July 2026, mandatory registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission commences for SIL and platform providers. From July 2027, it expands to personal care, daily living supports, and supports in closed settings.
The thing most providers miss: you don't need to be fully registered by 1 July 2026 — you need to have commenced the application. This checklist walks you through what "commenced" actually requires, so you don't end up scrambling in June.
What's inside
- The 7 things you need to have decided before you apply
- The 8 foundation documents the Commission expects to see
- The participant-facing documents auditors look for
- Workforce and worker-screening requirements
- Safety and risk evidence you'll need ready
- Governance and audit prep
- Audit logistics — auditor selection, application, portal setup
Who it's for
Small NDIS providers (1–20 staff) preparing for first-time registration, or unregistered providers who realised the July 2026 deadline applies to them. Written in plain language. No consulting jargon.
How to use it
Print it. Tick what's done. The "not yet" items become your work plan for the next 90 days. Most small providers can go from zero to "commenced" in 8–12 weeks if they start now.
